When first choosing a domain software for my Wordpress website to go live I compared it with 2 other domain software companies. I found that DreamHost was cheaper but not cheap in quality. The other two were more expensive and did not offer a month to month payment plan, they only offered a yearly plan. I like that for people who are not as tech savvy or do not have a website designer you can pay $299 to get someone from the company to design your site and do branding work for your blog or website. I think that's a pretty sweet deal. > > **Puntos en contra**: I notice that I am not able to upload my photo to my profile on my DreamHost site. Perhaps I am missing something but I think this would be a helpful feature for personal or security profiles. Another helpful thing for DreamHost to offer is a free mitigation platform or upgrade of the WordPress software. I think that most of the upgrades should be free or offered at a low cost instead of paying etween $199-$300. > > My overall experience with DreamHost has been great\! We tested it out and created something useable in a few hours. The templates have the basic sections you would want for most business types. Since it is part of Dream Host which we also use, there was almost not tech set up to link our domain name and hosting site. > > **Puntos en contra**: The templates didn't look great out of the box. It would have taken a lot of work on colors and fonts to try to get it to look aesthetically pleasing. It is easy to create a site, but if you want it to really pop you need to put a lot of work into it. My feeling is that dream host wanted to in sure that they received a green checkmark for builder posted inside of their platform . It is a standard builder with some nice templates. It is extremely easy to use and quickly put up a static website and promote your Service or offering very quickly. Mind you, the hosting is top of class with Dreamhost and this review is NOT about the host platform just the builder inside the platform. The builder is basic and feature lacking. If it was a free builder inside the host plan then great, but not worth paying for using this builder as a stand-alone product. The lack of commerce options or integration options with various external software options makes it not useable for most situations. > > No benefit from the builder.
