Comentarios: I have used EmailOctopus for a few years now. I send emails a few times per year to my client base, and a separate email to my referral sources. It's very easy to design an attractive looking email, and then to track who opens it and what they click on.

For my level of usage this service is free and has all the sophistication I need.
Contras:
There is nothing I dislike, other than when I mention it to others they haven't heard of it!

Octopus great for light usage to my client list
Comentarios: Hasn't let me down and it's intuitive, no sudden blockers due to only being on the free level.

Great Email Option
Comentarios: It's free for us right now and has been easy to use. I can have an email ready to go out in just a few minutes. It's also easy to see my reports and see who has opened and clicked on our emails.

It's easy to use and right now, we have everything we need in the free version.
Contras:
I haven't figured out yet how to manage my email subscribers efficiently. There's a few I would like to remove (obviously outside the US for a US company, haven't opened an email in years, etc). Last time I tried, it took longer than I wanted.

Easy, helpful, and very reasonably priced!
Comentarios: I've tried email marketing platforms that were expensive and much more difficult to set up. EmailOctopus has everything you need, in a very clean user interface and very reasonable pricing.
Puntos a favor:
Email Octopus is SO EASY to use. I had campaigns up and running quickly, and I have very little prior email marketing experience. Easy, but still powerful, with great reporting, and outstanding customer service (the product didn't need help, I did).
Contras:
I honestly can't think of any cons. Some may not like that there are fewer design templates than some email marketing systems provide. Personally, I consider that a plus, as there's less to wade through. Plus, it's quite simple to design your own.

The free option to start out with EmailOctopus is a very good choice to start out with. It enables you to see the functionality and send a good amount of emails before committing to a paid plan (if you need one). We have used a couple different options for email marketing, and EmailOctopus was the best all-around that we tried.
Contras:
EmailOctupus seems to have fewer email templates than some of the other providers, however - the ones they have fit our needs perfectly.

EmailOctopus is my new go to EMS
Comentarios: Everything from onboarding and list impor to automations and building my first campaigns has been a breeze. I had a few questions initially, but the team got back to me right away. I started out on Mailerlite and was in the +40% open rate. Then MailChimp dropped that to +30% open rate because my emails were going to spam due to their generic spammy click tracking links getting flagged by Gmail. After switching to EmailOctopus, my open rate has returned to +40% and my deliverability issues are over.
Puntos a favor:
EmailOctopus has incredible customer service, which was extremely important to me when choosing a new EMS. Their live chat is extremely responsive, and you're talking with folks who can actually help you, as opposed to outsourced help who are reading from a FAQ document.
Contras:
Their editor could be improved a bit. Sometimes it jumps around if I paste a large HTML section, for example. The editor in general could just be a little more fluid, but it gets the job done.
The Best Free Plan Around!

Sometimes the blocks get a bit wonky when I am trying to move them. It's never been an issue ongoing, but can be frustrating at times.

Maybe help bubbles with the best way to editing messages. And a easy way to bulk erase emails, sometimes bot attacks and stored useless emails.

Just to clarify, we don't allow embedding a video directly into your email just because most email clients don't support this option. Comentarios: Great for sending out monthly newsletters. Will continue using for the foreseeable future and may upgrade to Pro!

Very customizable without forcing me to do HTML. Gives me everything my previous newsletter platform (MadMimi) did and more. Lots included with the Free version that most competitors charge an arm and a leg for.
Contras:
There are many pages to each process, and the automation process specifically is quite confusing. Help articles are good but some portions could be better labelled.
